Hi! I’m Evelyn Mary.

I write about the quiet work of coming home to yourself.

A writer and teacher, I've spent decades on the spiritual path, gathering and living the practices long before I thought of sharing them. I studied philosophy and English literature, though it was metaphysics, with its questions about what we are and what lies beneath the visible world, that drew me in most.

But the practices I teach were learned the slower way. I came to many of them in seasons when I needed them badly, and I still use them. They took me somewhere I had not planned, to a life far more my own.

My work is for curious seekers who feel the quiet pull of there must be more, and who want spiritual practices that fit inside a busy, ordinary life. Those practices are gathered in my new book, Come Home to Your Light: 111 Practices for a Soul-Led Life, arriving October 1st 2026. It rests on the idea that what you are seeking is already within you.

Born in Ireland, I now live by the sea in Spain, where the sea, the open air and long hours in nature are woven through everything I create.
